This is an online and offline community geared towards extreme Christmas lighting. The majority of the members are residential homeowners who simply enjoy the hobby. Members are not out to make money through their membership with this site.
Membership to TCL is limited to those who live in the State of Texas. However, membership will be extended to those who move from the state for a period of 3 years following their move. Membership is also extended to those who attend our yearly state wide Workshops. This membership will last for a period of 3 years following the Workshop.
By joining you are stating the following:
1. You will not solicit other members. Joining for the sole purpose of selling your goods is not allowed. Unsolicited mass emails to the group by anyone other than administrators are prohibited.
2. You agree that we are all amateurs, and as such may from time to time supply incorrect information. While every effort is made to provide correct 0information, mistakes happen. Therefore, you agree that you will verify any and all information before using it in any residential or commercial display.
3. You agree on behalf of yourself, your estate and your agents that you will hold harmless any and all other members of this site regarding any information provided to you by other members of this site. Further, you agree to assign to the Administrator of TexasChristmasLights.com any and all claims that you have now or may acquire in the future against any other member. You understand that the Administrator will hold any such claims as trustee for all members and will ensure that no such claims are pursued.
4. As an amateur, volunteer organization, things may not move as quickly as you would like. It may take 24 hours or more for your registration to be approved. You agree that the ORGANIZATION operates at its own pace.
5. You further agree to provide full and correct information upon sign-up. Failure to provide full and/or correct information will cause your application to be denied. If it is discovered that you provided incorrect information (either intentionally or unintentionally) on your registration form, TCL reserves the right to remove and delete your registration, and as a result, your access to the site.
6. You agree that information from this site may not be re-posted to any online forum, message board, chat room, web site, email or any other method not covered in these Terms of Service, without the permission of the original posting member. Members, for members, created the information here. It is not the intention that such information be kept confidential or the use of the information limited; however, it is meant to enable other members to speak openly and honestly to all members without fear of potential liability from a post attributed to a member being posted on another site without permission.
7. You agree to grant Texas Christmas Lights free and lifetime use to any material you may create or donate. You still retain the actual copyrights, but agree that Texas Christmas Lights may use the information at no charge for the life of the organization.
THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS MAY CHANGE. CHANGES TO THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS WILL BE POSTED TO THE TEXASCHRISTMASLIGHTS.COM WEB SITE. YOUR CONTINUED USE OF THIS SITE AFTER A TERM OR CONDITION IS CHANGED OR MODIFIED CONSTITUTES YOUR ACCEPTANCE OF THE AMENDED TERMS AND CONDITIONS. IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO KEEP UP WITH THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS. IF AT ANY TIME YOU DO NOT AGREE WITH THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS, YOU SHOULD NOTIFY THE ORGANIZATION OF YOUR REQUEST TO BE REMOVED FROM THE WEBSITE.
