What is Texas Christmas Lights?
We are a group of people who enjoy decorating our homes during Christmas (and other times of the year as well). Think of this as a support group for those who enjoy Christmas lights.
The organization is broken down into local chapters, who try and meet on a fairly regular basis. The state chapter meets once a year, usually in the early summer. The location of these meetings rotates throughout the state, to give everyone a chance to attend.
What do we do?
We provide support to other members with their projects and questions. Newcomers to the group gain the experience of others who have been decorating for years, and want to share their knowledge with others. The ‘old timers’ get exposure to fresh thinking from new members, who just might have a better way to do it.
How do we do it?
We communicate with each other via email and in person at local and state meetings. These are designed to allow people to get to know each other, which encourages the sharing process. Perhaps they will even be willing to go over and help people set up their display if someone needs help.
Christmas Lights Community
We are also a member of Christmas Lights Community (CLC), a network of state based organizations like ours. Other states within CLC have their own web sites and share in our forums as well. You can learn more about CLC by following the link in this paragraph.
